Help Bring a Justice Cafe to your City!

• Collaborate with IPJC to create spaces for young adults to connect around justice
• Utilize tools and resources provided by IPJC for a successful justice café
• Commit to the guiding principles of IPJC Justice Cafés
• Consult IPJC as needed and check in regularly with IPJC staff to share how your café is going

Before your Justice Café:

• Read the Justice Cafe Host Guidelines
• Make pre-arrangements with café location
  • Read Tips for Finding/Arranging Your Justice Café Location
• Notify IPJC of café location (for posting on web hub)
• IPJC will send you the Host Kit via email 2 to 3 weeks before your cafe
  • See a Sample Host Kit
  • Print materials to be handed out at the café
• Promote your IPJC Justice Café
  • Read Promotion Suggestions
• Arrive a little early at the Justice Café location
  • If coffee shop, use table tents included in Host Kit to save a few tables close to each other
  • If another venue, set up "café" style
• Bring materials printed from the Host Kit to Justice Café
  • Conversation starters, ideas for action, web hub instructions, sign in sheet, etc...
• Use script and materials from Host Kit to guide your Justice Café time
  • Welcome Participants
  • Share café ettiquette and encourge everyone to participate in conversation

After your Justice Café:

• Participate in the ongoing conversation online
• Check in with IPJC staff to share how your café is going - ipjc@ipjc.org
• Prepare for the next Justice Café - you may want to invite someone to co-host with you or take turns hosting your local IPJC Justice Café
