April 2013 Justice Cafe: Intergenerational Justice

“Ours are the most fortunate generations that have ever lived. Ours are the most fortunate that ever will. We inhabit the brief historical interlude between ecological constraint and ecological catastrophe.”

~George Monbiot, Heat

What kind of a world are we leaving behind for future generations? What can we do to live a more sustainable and equitable life, creating an option for a future for those yet to come? Let's discuss! Join us this month as we get together and talk about Intergenerational Justice!

Reflect and Explore--Before the Café

  • How is the planet and situation that I grew up in different than that of my parents? My grandparents?
  • How do my daily decisions use resources which leave a different world for generations to come?
  • What kind of personal responsibility do I have to my children, grandchildren and beyond who inherit this earth and society? How do I answer to that responsibility?
  • Explore more here!
