January 2012 Justice Cafe on Dignity & Rights of Workers

“Work is not only for one's self.  It is for one's family, for the nation, and indeed for the benefit of the entire human family.” ~ Economic Justice for All, US Bishops

Justice Cafes will take place on campuses, in parishes and coffee shops across the United States and in Africa around the 3rd week of January.

Reflect & Explore (Before the Cafe)

  • Reflect on the work you do or hope to do.  How does this work help you develop yourself and your community?
  • Consider all the workers you interact with each day--service workers, bus drivers, teachers, etc...  Reflect on their contributions to your life and society
  • Look for stories of economic and worker justice in news and global events.
  • Watch a video clip and post a comment
  • Explore the topic further  on the January Justice Cafe Page
